This Privacy Policy explains how Vocably("Vocably," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Vocablymobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of the Service, and certain technical information collected automatically.
2. Information you provide
- account information, such as your email address, display name, login provider details, and account creation details
- learning information, such as saved words, study history, quiz or review results, streaks, reminders, preferences, and personal notes you choose to add
- communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback
- subscription-related information provided through app stores or payment processors
3. Information collected automatically
- device and technical data, such as device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, IP address, and identifiers permitted by the platform
- usage data, such as feature interactions, session activity, engagement events, diagnostics, crash reports, and performance information
- notification settings and app configuration data needed to deliver reminders and maintain functionality
4. Information stored locally on your device
Some preferences, cached content, and learning progress may be stored locally on your device so the Service can work more efficiently and provide a more consistent user experience.

6. Legal bases for processing

7. Notifications and permissions
If you enable notifications, we may send reminders or service messages related to your learning activity. Device permissions, such as notification permissions, can be managed at any time through your device settings.
8. Purchases and subscriptions
If the Service offers paid subscriptions or purchases, payment processing is handled by Apple, Google, Stripe, or other authorized payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers. Those providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies.
9. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in limited circumstances, including with:
- vendors and service providers that help us operate, host, analyze, support, and secure the Service
- payment processors and app store platforms
- legal, regulatory, or enforcement authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service
- a successor or acquiring entity in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of assets
10. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Service. When appropriate, we may retain aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent for certain processing. Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by law in the relevant jurisdiction. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices separately.
